Parafix must think we are the luckiest
team alive - when we played them away we scored the winner
with fifteen seconds remaining, today we topped that by
winning the game with three seconds to go!
Chequer dominated the majority
of this game, but Parafix belied the fact that they are
bottom of the division with no victories by playing some
good intricate football. Indeed, against the run of play
they took the lead in the first half, after a mistake
by Matt Bailey, and under enormous pressure held on to
it until fifteen minutes from the end when a poweful Aaron
Comber header gave the Parafix keeper no chance. Aaron
played in an important part in the winner heading a deep
cross back into the path of Ben Garman to smash home.
Chequer looked far more
solid playing a 4-4-2 formation. Credit must go to Ben
Garman who began the game at Centre half where he was
outstanding both in his defending and ability to turn
defence into attack.
Everyone deserves
credit today for a great team performance showing determination
to fight to the last for a valuable three points.
